Ghrow.io LLC is a consulting services firm specializing in HR and Recruiting leadership for startups and early-stage companies.

Our Founder, Victoria Schanen, PHR, fell in love with recruiting in 2005 and planted roots in the software community. In 2013, she expanded to full lifecycle human resources work and built HR functions from scratch at some of the fastest-growing tech startups in the Twin Cities.

Victoria speaks and presents at startup events such as MinneBar, Twin Cities Startup Week, and Enterprise Rising.

Nexben

2020 - 2021

Our founder built Nexben's Recruiting and HR function as the 10th employee in the company, covering everything from recruiting and compensation to employer brand and employee engagement and more. She also managed an office space search and move in downtown Minneapolis and led a COVID task force.

Tripled team size

Kipsu

2017 - 2019

As the HR team of one, our founder established and ran Kipsu’s HR and recruiting functions. Managed recruiting, compensation, benefits, performance management, employer branding, employee engagement, and more.

Doubled the company from 35 to 70 employees

Won the #1 spot on Star Tribune's Top Workplaces in 2018

2013 - 2017

Our founder created the HR department's structure from the ground up, including policies, procedures, best practices and all accompanying artifacts (employee handbook, process flows, intranet department page, etc.), gracefully balancing the legal obligations of HR with an eclectic culture. Toggled between recruitment and full-services HR, with some operations thrown in the mix. Contributed to the community by sponsoring and lining up Leadpages presenters at tech events.

Started as their 3rd Minneapolis hire (20th for the company) after Series A investment round and helped grow the company to over 170 team members

Submitted applications for and won: the Inc 5000 and Star Tribune Top Workplaces awards
